CONCEPT FOCUSED ON ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Communication for rotation.
SKF is a global company, founded 1907 in Gothenburg. Their primary business is rotation, working with bearings, seals, lubrication and monitoring. SKF employs 43,000 people worldwide.
The assignment
The brief from SKF was to create an impactful creative concept to be displayed on the drive to Landvetter Airport in Gothenburg. The message needed to focus on EV and also the long history of SKF in Gothenburg.
The solution
We landed on the solution to show the future and the past of SKF in a very product-focused way. The front of the billboard featured a hybrid bearing made for electric vehicles with the message ’ Rotation takes you forward’. The back of the billboard, towards Gothenburg, shows a single roller bearing ball with the message ’Home of Rotation’. I was excited to be able to show such an important part of SKF in a simple and stylized way, giving it space.
The result
SKF was very happy with the finished result. My team has enjoyed working on this and several other SKF projects together with SKF.

Idea & Concept
On this project, the ideas and research phase was important to set the right tone and feel. I collaborated closely with SKF to understand what they wanted to achieve with the communication.
Art Direction & Production
Choosing the right product to display and photograph took great consideration and research. I wanted the final product to stay true to the SKF brand and also express the beauty of the craftsmanship in these kind of technical products.
